LAHORE: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday threw out the petition filed by a citizen regarding changes in the education curriculum of Sindh, saying it was inadmissible for the hearing.
Earlier speaking in the courtroom, counsel for the Sindh Textbook Board said that the Sindh government kept introducing changes in the curriculum in accordance with recent developments in the field of science and technology and in other spheres of knowledge. He went on to say that the SHC had disposed of similar petitions filed in the past. “Therefore, it is prayed to the court to reject the petition under review,” he requested.
Making secretary Cabinet Division, secretary Information Technology, chief secretary Sindh, secretary education and others respondents in his petition, Waqar Zaka argued that the subjects of information technology and space technology should be made part of the curriculum. A two-member bench of the SHC, headed by Justice KK Agha, heard the petition.
