LAHORE:PML-N President and opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has lashed out at the government for raising petrol prices by Rs3 per litre terming it economic terrorism against the poor people of the country.
Shehbaz in a tweet posted on Sunday said: “An increase in the price of petroleum products by Rs3/litre is absolutely a cruel act and economic murder of poor people. When prices of petroleum were decreased in the international market, the government did not give relief to the masses. But when the prices have gone up in (international market), the government has become so quick (to raise the petrol prices). The government which has steeped deep in ineptness, incompetence and corruption, it has bogged down people in the marsh of inflation.”
