Shikarpur excise police recovers 80kg hashish

LARKANA:Excise police in Shikarpur foiled an attempt to smuggle 80kg hashish to Karachi by arresting two criminals on Monday.

 

Excise Inspector Rahim Bakhsh Sanjrani, along with his team, arrested two accused Abdul Razzaq and Najibullah and recovered 80kg hashish from their possession. Both the accused belonged to Mastung area of Balochistan. The accused had hidden the contraband in their Bedford truck number C-1458 which they were smuggling to Karachi. The accused have been arrested and investigation has started.

 

However, the truck used in smuggling has also been taken into custody. Provincial Minister of Excise and Taxation Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla congratulated the officers and officials for the successful operation and instructed the other officials to continue their operations against the drug dealers, their facilitators, supporters and stop drug trafficking in Sindh in any case and thwart such efforts in future as well.
