Shopian shuts on fourth straight day today

Srinagar, January 15, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Shopian district continues to remain shut on the fourth straight day, today, to mourn the killing of two youth, Zeenat-ul-Islam and Shakeel Ahmed Dar, by Indian troops in Yaripora area of the neighbouring Kulgam district on Saturday.

All shops and other business establishments are closed while a skeletal movement of traffic is on the roads in the district. Internet continues remains suspended in Shopian district. The service was suspended soon after the news of killings spread on Saturday evening. People in large numbers are visiting the families of the martyred youth to express solidarity with them.
