Significant surge in gold market, per tola gold price increases by Rs 4,300

The local gold market saw a significant surge on Wednesday, with the per tola price of 24-karat gold rising by a substantial Rs 4,300 to reach Rs 486,162.

This increase was also sustained across other measures, with the 10-gram price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs 3,687 to Rs 416,805. Concurrently, the 10-gram price of 22-karat gold increased by Rs 3,380, closing at Rs 382,085.

This change in local prices was in line with global market trends, where the international price of gold increased by $43 to $4,638.

The price of silver also saw a significant surge. The per tola price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs 500 to Rs 9,575, while the 10-gram price rose by Rs 429 to Rs 8,209.

The value of the white metal also saw a notable increase in the international market, where a $5.00 rise brought its price to $91.00, reflecting widespread strength in precious metals.
