Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori today urged the provincial government to take immediate notice of the dengue situation, revealing that most reported cases have emerged from Hyderabad, and assured that he will personally monitor the response to ensure effective measures for public relief.
Speaking to the media, the Governor also emphasized that implementing a uniform e-challan system across all provinces is the need of the hour to ensure consistency in traffic regulations.
These remarks followed a meeting between Governor Tessori and Nepalese Ambassador Rita Dhital at the Governor House, which was also attended by Nepal’s Honorary Consul General Mushtaq Chapra and other distinguished guests.
The discussion focused on matters of mutual interest, including strengthening Pak-Nepal bilateral relations, cooperation in various sectors, the promotion of tourism, cultural exchanges, and investment opportunities in Sindh.
Governor Tessori stated that enhancing economic and educational cooperation between Pakistan and Nepal is in the interest of both nations and expressed his desire to further bolster trade and academic linkages.
In line with this goal, the Governor announced he will soon visit Nepal to establish stronger connections with the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and other relevant institutions. He further pledged to take up the matter of direct flight operations between Pakistan and Nepal with the Civil Aviation Authority and the federal government.
As a gesture of Pak-Nepal friendship, Governor Tessori and Ambassador Dhital jointly hoisted the national flags of both countries. The Nepalese Ambassador also planted a sapling at the Governor House and recorded her remarks in the visitors’ book.
Ambassador Dhital later visited the ‘Bell of Hope’ installed at the Governor House, appreciating the initiative and calling it a remarkable step for public welfare.
