Sindh govt main hurdle in issuing health cards, says Shaikh

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Haleem Adil Shaikh said on Monday that Sindh had been given more than Rs8780 billion but only development in Sindh is so far seen in sector of corruption.

“The provincial government has even failed to give basic facilities to citizens. Sindh government is trying to save the job of one adviser who always tell lies,” he said while addressing a crowded press conference at Sindh Assembly, here Monday.

He said the corruption mafia in Sindh was not ready to serve people and it also did not allow others to serve the downtrodden people. He said the federal government had already issued 275000 health cards in Tharparker. He said the federal government also wanted to issue health cards to all citizens of Sindh but the government of Sindh was the main hurdle, as it was not ready to pay its share in this project.

He said in Punjab and KPK health cards had already been issued to their citizens as these provincial governments had paid their due share; however, the Sindh government was not ready to give its due share.
