LARKANA:Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) finally got a Registrar on regular basis for the first time since 2008 when the university was established. It was learnt through spokesperson of the University Abdul Samad Bhatti on Friday.
Bhatti said in his statement that Chandka Medical College was established in 1973 which is the largest medical institution of Northern Sindh whereas the foundation stone of SMBBMU was laid in 2008. The post of a Registrar is very important in university to run its affairs and Dr. Syed Qararo Shah has been appointed as a Registrar through the Selection Board who assumed the charge on Thursday afternoon and started working.
Meanwhile, credible sources said that Dr. Shah has been appointed initially on one year contract basis which is extendable on performance basis whereas according to the university statutes registrar is to be appointed for three years.
