Jamaat-i-Islami Karachi, emir Monem Zafar Khan, declared the nationwide shutdown strike from Karachi to Chitral as a clear message to the rulers to take practical steps for the liberation of the First Qibla (Al-Aqsa Mosque).

He stated that the traders, various sectors, and civil society across the country have demonstrated their solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Addressing a press conference at Regal Chowk, Saddar, JI Karachi emir praised the business community and expressed gratitude for their efforts. Leaders from different trade organizations were also present at the occasion.

Monem Zafar Khan said that today the entire nation stands with the people of Gaza and Palestine. All markets, business centers, and petrol pumps in the city are closed. He urged the rulers to wake up and heed the writing on the wall.

He further stated that Israeli terrorism continues in Palestine, and India has initiated water aggression against Pakistan. He described India, Israel, and the United States as a devilish triangle conspiring against Muslims.

Monem Zafar Khan warned the leaders of the Muslim Ummah that if they do not awaken, the public will reject them. He reiterated solidarity with the land of Palestine and the people of Gaza and questioned the silence of international human rights organizations.

He urged the leaders of the Muslim world to take practical steps to stop the ongoing oppression in Gaza.
