An exhibition at Aga Khan University (AKU) is providing a crucial platform for healthcare practitioners to interact with state-of-the-art surgical technologies, aiming to bridge the divide between industry innovation and practical clinical application for improved patient outcomes.

The AKU Surgical Expo 2026, a key component of the 11th AKU Annual Surgical Conference, is being held on March 31 and April 1. The event features over 30 exhibitors from prominent industry partners at the university”s Sports and Rehabilitation Centre, according to AKU report today.

A diverse range of cutting-edge equipment is on display, including advanced surgical instruments, modern implant systems, and emerging medical devices and digital solutions.

Attendees, including clinicians and trainees, are being offered opportunities for direct engagement with manufacturers through live demonstrations and technical discussions, allowing for hands-on experience with new tools shaping contemporary operating theatres.

Dr. Zia ur Rehman, the Conference Chair, remarked on the event”s significance in connecting medical professionals with technological advancements. “The AKU Surgical Expo provides an important platform for clinicians to directly engage with the latest advancements in surgical technology,” he stated.

“By bringing industry and healthcare professionals together, the Expo enables meaningful dialogue and hands-on learning that ultimately contributes to safer, more effective patient care,’ Dr. Rehman added.
