A suspect involved in the shooting incident of a private college student in Okara has been arrested. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station Okara, where the suspect, Hamza, opened fire on the students after asking them to stop making noise.
The incident took place in village 55-2L, where students from a private college were celebrating. Following an argument between the students and the suspect, Hamza fired shots, injuring a student named Muhammad Sajjad. The police acted promptly, arresting the suspect and recovering a pistol from his possession.
The injured student, Sajjad, was immediately taken to the hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable. DPO Rashid Hidayat took notice of the incident and assured strict measures for the protection of citizens’ lives and property. The police have initiated legal proceedings.
