A suspected street criminal was taken into custody in an injured state after an exchange of fire with law enforcement personnel in the Juma Phalia area of Korangi on Thursday.
Officials from the Zaman Town police station, confirming the incident, identified the arrested person as Arsalan. He was arrested after an encounter with a police party.
Upon searching the suspect, a pistol, cash, and a motorcycle were recovered. The police have taken these items from the scene into custody as evidence.
The injured suspect has been moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical treatment.
Officials say further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
