Envoy: (Pakistan for non-interference in domestic affairs of states)

ISLAMABAD:At the United Nations, Pakistan has said that Hong Kong affairs are China’s internal matters and underscored importance of non-interference in domestic affairs of sovereign states. This was stated by Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Munir Akram while speaking for fifty-five countries at a U.N panel. He stated this after responding to a statement made by Germany, on behalf of a group of mainly western countries that expressed concern at impact of China’s new national security law on human rights in Hong Kong. Pakistani envoy said Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is an inalienable part of China and Hong Kong affairs are China’s internal affairs that brook no interference by foreign forces.

FAO installs Chilgoza Processing Unit at Diamer, Zhob

Diamer:The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations under the project “Reversing Deforestation and Forest Degradation in High Conservation Value Chilogoza Pine Forests in Pakistan” inaugurated Chilgoza processing units in Diamer district of Gilgit Baltistan and in Zhob, Balochistan. The project is funded by the Global Environment Facility and implemented under the oversight of the Ministry of Climate Change. Furthermore, the project is additionally contributing 23 million trees to the Ten Billion Trees Programme of MoCC. The project has involved the local community within the conservation and protection of forests while adding value chain development. Envoy: (Pakistan praises China’s leading role at UN)

Islamabad:Pakistan has praised China’s leading role at the UN, saying its policies are based on principles of the UN Charter, support for multilateralism and "win-win" cooperation. Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Nations, Munir Akram, while speaking at a virtual reception, in New York, lauded Chinese phenomenal progress, especially in bringing 700 million people out of poverty and registering double digit Gross Domestic Product growth for 30 years. The Chinese ambassador, in turn, thanked his Pakistani counterpart and said we are proud of the strong friendship and cooperation between China and Pakistan.

UNODC: (3rd Air Cargo Control Unit inaugurated at Islamabad Airport)

Islamabad:United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Country Office Pakistan - the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the UNODC Container Control Program (CCP), in partnership with national counterparts Anti-Narcotics Force, Civil Aviation Authorities, and Pakistan Customs inaugurated its 3rd Air Cargo Control Unit (ACCU) here at Islamabad Airport on Wednesday. The Unit is tasked to profile inbound and outbound air consignments and identify and stop those that may carry illicit substances. Minister: (Turkey’s voice for Kashmiris pushes UNSC to implement its resolutions on Kashmir: Shibli)

Islamabad:Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz says raising voice by Turkey for Kashmiris is victory of the stance that the United Nations should fulfill its promise of ensuring right to self-determination for Kashmiris as per Security Council resolutions. In a tweet, he thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for again openly supporting resolution of the Kashmir dispute on the basis of justice and principles.

Envoy: (Pakistan says India is mother of terrorism in South Asian region)

Islamabad:At the United Nations, Pakistan has once again drawn the world community's attention towards India's state sponsored terrorism and human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ and K). In a series of tweets on Tuesday, Pakistan's Permanent Mission to the United Nations Ambassador Munir Akram said India is the mother of terrorism in the South Asian region. The mission said India is committing appalling human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its state sponsored terrorism has become an affront to humanity.
