Authorities have seized a large quantity of smuggled goods worth crores of rupees during an intelligence-based targeted operation in the Yousuf Goth Bus Terminal area.
The joint action was carried out on Sunday by personnel from Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and Customs Enforcement, who recovered non-customs paid goods hidden in warehouses located on 100-Foot Road.
The seized smuggled goods include Iranian tile strips, utensils, cosmetic creams, cakes, dry milk, salt, vehicle tires, and a large quantity of cloth.
After the recovery, the entire consignment of illegal goods was loaded onto 17 Mazda trucks and formally handed over to customs officials, who will now initiate further legal proceedings.
A spokesperson for the Sindh Rangers confirmed that such operations against smuggling will continue, expressing a commitment to completely eradicate these illegal activities.
Authorities have also appealed to the public to assist in the elimination of crime and smuggling by reporting any relevant information. Citizens can contact the nearest Rangers check post, use the Rangers helpline 1101, or call or send an SMS to the Rangers Madadgar WhatsApp number 03479001111, with the assurance that the informant’s identity will be kept confidential.
