Tariq Fatemi Calls for Boost in US Investment in Pakistan’s Key Sectors

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Foreign Affairs, Syed Tariq Fatemi, underscored the importance of enhancing US investment in Pakistan, particularly in its textile industry, infrastructure, and human resource development.

Addressing the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington DC, Fatemi highlighted the historical ties between Pakistan and the United States while inviting US investors to explore the opportunities Pakistan offers. He emphasized the need for US assistance in education, healthcare, and economic development to strengthen bilateral cooperation into a mutually beneficial long-term partnership.

During his speech, he touched upon Pakistan’s initiatives against terrorism, border control, and its dedication to providing a stable environment for investors. Fatemi assured the audience that despite existing challenges, Pakistan continues to be a lucrative destination for foreign investment, reiterating the nation’s commitment to a peaceful South Asia.
