Teachers protest against unlawful postings, transfers in Larkana

Larkana: Members of Primary Teachers Association (PTA) held a protest demonstration against unlawful transfers and postings on political grounds here at Larkana’s Jinnah Bagh on Sunday.

The protesting teachers were holding placards and banners in their hands and shouted slogans in favour of their just demands. Intezar Chilgri, Anwar Wahoocho, Sikander Virkh, Irshad Ali Tunio, Ashfaque Ahmed Dhamrah, Aslam Deedar and others said that primary teachers have been protesting since past two months but their legal demands have not yet been addressed.

They said Tarique Siyal, younger brother of provincial minister Suhail Anwar Siyal, assured them one and a half month ago that our genuine problems will be resolved but salary of an aged headmaster Aijaz Ali Pathan has been illegally stopped since past two months on a fake case of iron theft.

They said three headmasters have been transferred in Larkana subdivision on political grounds. The protesting teachers demanded the provincial education minister to withdraw the transfer orders of the headmaster and 14 other teachers who were also relieved of political involvement or else, they warned, primary teachers of Sindh will be forced to come out on streets of Larkana to protest against unlawful handling by the authorities.
