Authorities have taken ten individuals into custody, including five alleged absconders, during a city-wide law enforcement operation aimed at curbing criminal activity, according to the Islamabad Capital Police report today. The crackdown resulted in the seizure of narcotics, alcohol, and an illegal firearm.

In a series of targeted actions, police teams from the Karachi Company, Sumbal, Kirpa, and Lohi Bher stations apprehended five suspects. A pistol with ammunition, 275 grams of crystal methamphetamine (“ice”), and 30 bottles of wine were confiscated from their possession.

Formal cases have been registered against the five nabbed individuals, and further investigations into the matter are currently underway.

Separately, during a special campaign targeting fugitives, law enforcement officials also arrested five proclaimed offenders.

SSP Operations Islamabad affirmed that the police force is continuously working to protect the lives and property of residents. He stated that no one would be permitted to disturb the peace of the federal capital, emphasizing that citizen security is the force”s primary concern.

The SSP encouraged citizens to contribute to making the city crime-free by reporting any suspicious activity. He urged the public to contact their local police station or use the emergency helpline Pucar-15, highlighting the importance of mutual cooperation between the community and law enforcement.
