Thanksgiving Day Observed In Sukkur

Like the rest of the country, Thanksgiving Day was celebrated in Sukkur to honor the achievements of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The main event took place at the Lab Mehran Walking Track, attended by members of the Sukkur district administration and municipal corporation.

The ceremony began in the morning with Quran recitation in mosques and seminaries, and prayers for the martyrs. The national flag was hoisted along with the national anthem. The ceremony was attended by the Commissioner of Sukkur Division, DIG Sukkur, Lieutenant Commander of the Pakistan Navy, and other highranking officials.

In his address, the Commissioner of Sukkur praised the achievements of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He mentioned the timely counteraction against an enemy drone attack near Sukkur Airport. The DIG Police stated that if the enemy tries again in the future, the outcome will be dire.

The acting Mayor of Sukkur said that the successes of the Pakistan Armed Forces have filled the nation with pride. Students presented tableaus depicting the bravery of the forces and performed on national songs. A large number of citizens attended the event, which concluded with prayers for the martyrs of the Pakistan Army.
