Larkana:Three young men attempted to end their precious lives in three different villages over petty issues two days before Eid ul Fitr on Sunday. They were rushed to the Emergency Department of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment and further management by their relatives.

In first incident, 19-year old Wasim Jarwar of Khan Wah village inhaled poisonous substance to commit suicide over petty issue of killing his pigeon by the influential neighbourers. His relatives told newsmen at CMCH that Wasim is very fond of pigeons and his pigeon was killed by influential persons hence he became very disheartened and used poisonous chemicals to end his life.

In another incident which took place in Nasirabad, 25-year youngman Shafi Muhammad Kandhro used poisons substance after having a quarrel witjh his brother who asked him to sit at the shop. His brother Munir Ahmed Kandhro told newsmen that he asked him to sit at the shop so that he could take a rest but he became angry and used the killer chemical to kill himself.

In third incident, 23-years old Abdul Karim Dahar, resident of Sojhro village located near Mehar, also attempted to commit suicide over domestic issue by using poisonous substance. His relatives said that Dahar used the killer chemical to end his precious life over petty domestic problem.

All the people were rushed to the CMCH where the duty doctors were trying to wash their stomachs to save their lives.

It must be mentioned here that alleged suicide attempts have increased in the province where young people intend to end their precious lives over simple issues which could be averted and resolved by their elders.

The irony is that the provincial government of Sindh has never constituted any high level committee consisting of psychological experts to enquire into the circumstances which force young men and women to commit suicide leaving behind their parents and other relatives to mourn their deaths for rest of their life which is very tragic.
