Two Foreign Nationals, 13 Others Detained in City-Wide Security Sweep

The Islamabad Police on Sunday informed that they have taken two illegally residing foreign nationals and 13 other suspicious individuals into custody for further legal proceedings following extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital.

The city-wide security initiative, conducted by the Islamabad Police, involved the inspection of 236 individuals, 94 houses, and four shops. Law enforcement personnel also checked 120 motorcycles and 47 vehicles as part of the crackdown.

These operations are being carried out following special directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and are implemented under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza.

In a statement, the SSP Operations affirmed that the purpose of these security measures is to tighten the grip on criminal elements and enhance safety throughout the city.

He added that similar initiatives are being implemented across the district, with the Islamabad Police continuing indiscriminate actions against criminal elements, land-grabbing mafias, and drug peddlers.

The police have requested that citizens immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
