LARKANA:Two sisters below the age of 18 years reached the local press club here on Monday and held a protest against their mother and step-father.
Raheela Brohi and her younger sister Lal Bano Brohi complained that their father Murad Ali Jatoi expired some time ago and their mother Gul Jan married another man named Muharram Brohi.
They said that he was already married to Zuhra Brohi. Raheela Brohi alleged that both her mother and step-father Muharam Brohi were extremely greedy people who had sold her three times within a year.
She said her three nikah had been made against payment of huge amounts and for the fourth nikah, they obtained Rs 0.5 million yesterday and marriage was scheduled after Muharramul Haram.
She said that her first marriage took place a year ago with Yasin Junejo of Garhi Khuda Bux against Rs 0.4 lacs, second with Ghazi Punjabi of Sijawal Junejo against Rs350,000, third nikah was made with a resident of Garhi Khuda Bux against payment of Rs400,000 whereas her younger sister Lal Bano’s nikah was made with Akbar Kharos of Luhar Colony.
They said that due to such disrespectful situations and cruelty, they had become extremely worried and fed up, hence, they demanded stern legal action against their parents so that they could be relieved of such tortured life and pass good days.
