The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has made significant strides in the latest QS World University Rankings, marking its position among the top 205 universities worldwide in the field of Engineering and Technology.
A report said today UET has improved its overall global ranking to the 751-760 range this year, a notable advancement from its previous positions of 791-800 in 2024 and 801-1000 in 2023.
UET’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Shahid Munir, attributed this achievement to the concerted efforts of the university’s faculty, administration, and students. He emphasized the collective hard work that propelled UET’s success and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to further elevate its global standing in the coming year.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject also reflect UET Lahore’s success, with the university securing the 205th position globally in Engineering and Technology, rising 31 places from last year’s 236th. UET has consistently led among over 14 universities in Pakistan in this category.
The university’s subject-specific rankings include 201-250 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 251-300 in Mechanical Engineering, and 401-450 in Computer Science and Information Systems. UET also achieved rankings of 451-500 in Mathematics, 551-600 in Business and Management Studies, and 601-675 in Physics and Astronomy.
These rankings underscore UET Lahore’s progress and reinforce its stature as a premier engineering institution in Pakistan and globally.
