UK, Pakistan Military Leadership Vow to Bolster Collaboration for Regional Stability

Top military commanders from the United Kingdom and Pakistan today reaffirmed their shared commitment to ensuring regional peace and stability during high-level talks, focusing on enhancing bilateral defence cooperation and addressing mutual security concerns.

The discussions took place as the Chief of the General Staff (CGS) of the British Army, General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker, met with Pakistan’s Field Army Chief Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters.

The agenda covered a range of subjects of mutual interest, with a significant emphasis placed on regional security dynamics and concrete measures to further augment defence ties between the two nations. Both leaders reiterated the necessity for continued collaboration.

General Walker acknowledged the Pakistan Army”s significant achievements and sacrifices in its campaign against terrorism, commending its contributions towards maintaining regional stability.

Earlier upon his arrival, the visiting dignitary was formally welcomed with a guard of honour presented by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.

He also paid homage to fallen soldiers by laying a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada (Martyrs” Monument).
