US Secretary phones Bilawal to strengthen ties

ISLAMABAD:US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday made telephonic contact with Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to strengthen bilateral ties.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in a tweet message on Wednesday that he had spoken to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and they reaffirmed their mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and the United States by expanding engagements in different sectors.

On his Twitter handle, the foreign minister while referring to 75 years of Pak-US relationship, stressed that they must increase people-to-people and business-to-business contacts. While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan in its tweet has said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received a phone call from his US counterpart and reiterated mutual commitment to deepen Pak-US ties.
