VC briefs Parliamentary Secretary about Bahawalpur varsity projects

Bahawalpur:Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Engineer Professor Dr Athar Mehboob held a meeting with Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Development Mohtarma Kanwal Shozab MNA in Islamabad and briefed her about the development projects of the varsity.

They also reviewed about the ongoing process of the establishment of the Sub-campus of the Islamia University in AhmedpurEast. Mohtarma Kanwal Shozab MNA recommended Vice Chancellor for the provision of a separate bus service for the girls’ students of the Subdivision AhmedpurEast and exchanged views with Vice Chancellor about the possibility of the opening of nursing school along with University Sub-Campus in AhmedpurEast.

She also underlined the need of the opening of the language courses for students in Islamia University so that they could avail the opportunities of expected jobs in foreign countries. Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Development Mohtarma Kanwal Shozab MNA during this meeting stated that Imran Khan Government had earmarked Rs4.5 billion funds for the development schemes of the Islamia University including the establishment of its Sub-campus at AhmedpurEast.

She asked Vice Chancellor to include the provision of maximum educational facilities to the students of AhmedpurEast Subdivision besides the early completion of Islamia University Sub-campus in varsity management policies. She assured her full support to Vice Chancellor in the implementation of federal government financed projects of the Islamia University Bahawalpur.
