Jacobabad:A woman was killed over the charge of a notorious Karo-Kari tradition near Thul on Monday.
Accused Noor Mohammad Lodri attacked his wife Sughran with bricks and then suffocated her to death in village Khameeso Nandwai near Thul in district Jacobabad. The accused fled to unknown destination soon after committing the murder.
The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. The incident has created a tense situation in the village. The parents said that their daughter had been killed brutally without any guilt. They demanded arrest of the accused and severe punishment to him. The police have started a search for the culprit.
