World AIDS Day observed in Pakistan and across the globe

World AIDS Day was observed on December 1 in Pakistan and across the globe. On the occasion of World AIDS Day, a concerning report by a global organization revealed that millions have lost their lives to this disease, while an estimated 7.5 million people are infected with the virus.

This international day is observed every year on December 1 with the aim of raising maximum awareness and disseminating crucial information about prevention strategies for this deadly disease.

In observance of this day, events were also organized across Pakistan under the auspices of the Department of Health and various social organizations.

During these events, medical experts addressed the participants, providing important information about the symptoms and effective prevention methods for this fatal disease. The country’s newspapers supported the initiative by publishing informative features, while electronic media broadcast special programs on the topic.

World AIDS Day was first established and observed globally in 1987 to unite people in the fight against this epidemic.
