World Bank Group Launches Extensive Consultations for New Pakistan Partnership Framework

Islamabad, The World Bank Group (WBG) has initiated a series of countrywide consultations as it prepares to develop a new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Pakistan, aiming to outline strategic support for the nation over the next six to ten years.

According to The World Bank, this process involves engaging with a broad array of stakeholders, including government officials, parliamentarians, representatives from the private sector, academia, think tanks, civil society organizations, international financial institutions, the diplomatic community, and the media. The consultations, scheduled throughout July, are designed to collect a wide range of perspectives on Pakistan’s economic and social challenges to better tailor the CPF to the country’s needs.

The new CPF will be informed by critical documents such as ‘Reforms for a Brighter Future (RBF): Time to Decide’, the Human Capital Review, the Country Economic Memorandum, the Pakistan Country Climate Development Report, Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD), and the Country Private Sector Diagnostic (CPSD). These documents collectively analyze Pakistan’s developmental challenges and propose priority interventions aimed at eradicating extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity in a sustainable manner.
