Youth shot dead, man injured in Karachi armed attacks

KARACHI:A youth was killed and a man injured in two armed attacks in the city on Monday.

According to rescue sources, unidentified armed men opened fire on Nadir Ali, 24, son of Arbab, in Sector 36 of Surjani town in the city. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The assailants fled after swift operation. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, bandits shot and injured a man, Abdul Latif, 47, son of Sikandar Malik when he offered them resistance during the dacoity in Ibrahim Hyderi area of Korangi, Karachi. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. He received a shot in the chest.
