(Health): PPP leader Rashid Rabbani dies of coronavirus

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Political Affairs Rashid Rabbani died of coronavirus on Thursday.

The family of the PPP leader confirmed that Rabbani died due to coronavirus. He was on a ventilator for the past few days after suffering from severe symptoms of the virus.

Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians President Asif Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have expressed their grief over the death of Rashid Rabbani.

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced a-day mourning over the demise of Rabbani, Vice President PPP Sindh and Special Assistant to Chief Minister, Sindh who passed away at a Karachi hospital.

It is pertinent to mention here that another member of the Sindh cabinet, Sindh Minister for Human Settlement Ghulam Murtaza Baloch on June 02, died of coronavirus after being admitted to a hospital in Karachi.
