21 police encounters took place in 40 days in Larkana

LARKANA: As many as 19 active criminal gangs have been busted during last 40 days in Larkana district and 21 encounters have taken place in which three criminals were arrested in injured condition and one hardened bandit was also killed.

As many as 355 absconders, 76 proclaimed offenders and 51 active criminals have also been arrested during the same period, Larkana police further claimed. The police further claimed that a gang of motorcycle thieves had also been busted, police arrested two criminals Athar Jatoi and Majid Buriro besides recovering 15 bikes on their pointation.

SSP Larkana Shabir Sethar said that a gang had also been unearthed which was involved in making fake bike documents and probe in this case was underway. He said boys were used by the criminals in stealing motorcycles which had been proved in CCTV footages.

He further said that police unfolded the mystery of killing of young man Afaq Siyal four days ago in village Pir Jo Goth near Naundero and arrested all four accused involved in the brutal but blind murder. He said the accused include Rizwan Shah Rashdi, Qadeer Soomro, Israr Chano and Najiullah Shaikh. He said after killing the young man, the accused took away his mobile phone.
