LARKANA: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Monday that PPP office-bearers and workers are not afraid of any phone call and cannot be pressurized.
“Every time puppet alliances and puppet politicians form government and run it on others’ orders and instead of doing public works, are working for others. People are aware of conspiracies but will defeat them,” he said while addressing party workers at Bakrani road and Ratodero near here on Monday. He said they knew how to reply but they don’t believe in abusive politics.
Bhutto said: “Politics of abuse is not acceptable to Larkanaites. All know what Imran Khan and Maulana Fazalur Rahman are saying against each other but they have united here against PPP and even bat is running here on diesel. People faced dictatorship of Zia-ul-Haq, Pervaiz Musharraf, extremism, and terrorism, hence these puppet alliances are nothing before the power of the people. We have been defeating such puppet alliances in the past and will defeat them in future as well.”
He said they believed in ideological and principled politics and would continue to resolve issues faced by the masses. He said their struggle was not against any political party or any politician but their fight was against poverty, unemployment, hate, issues, backwardness, extremism and highhandedness. He claimed: “PPP is the only party which will fight against unemployment.”
Bilawal said he was contesting his first election and his party candidates who will be elected shall be answerable to him and he will ask them whether they served people of their constituency or not. He said that they (GDA) were saying that they would save Sindh but they had an alliance with those who wanted to divide Sindh adding they wanted elimination of corruption and accountability but one chief minister who was ousted on corruption allegations was sitting among them.
He said it was not politics but hypocrisy. He said: “If we formed government at federal level, we will launch poverty reduction program under which poor women will be granted loans free of interest. Poverty alleviation program will also be started under which food cards will be issued. Food stores will be opened at Union Council level which will be run by women where eatable items of daily use will be available on cheaper rates.”
Bhutto said: “PPP was central party yesterday and will continue to remain federal party in the future as well. He said he was contesting on a seat from which Shaheed ZA Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and Begum Nusrat Bhutto had contested.
Nisar Khuhro urged the activists and participants to make Bilawal successful by casting record votes in his favour.
