Sialkot:Federal Minister for Interior Ch. AhsanIqbal has stressed the need of the promotion of quality education to end the ignorance and backwardness besides putting the country on the highway to national prosperity and progress.
He stated this while addressing the participants of laptops distribution ceremony held at the University of Gujrat (UoG) Narowal Campus here Saturday.
Federal Interior Minister said that only education was the big weapon to remove the darkness of backwardness, ignorance, terrorism, militancy, insurgency, saying that the promotion of quality education could also help to build up the good personality and character of the students who were the future of the nation.
Ch. AhsanIqbal announced the early establishment of the University of Narowal (UoN) at Narowal.
He also asked the students to focus on the utilization of the advanced technologies to put Pakistan in the line of the technology advanced countries , saying that the provision of quality education was the top priority of the government and the PML-N government was making all out sincere efforts for ensuring thee asy access of everyone to the quality education.
He said that promotion of quality education was must to curtail the internal and external dangers as well.
Interior Minister said that the foreign media was also hailing the Pakistan’s positive and effective economical policies, saying that the foreign media has also declared Pakistan’s economy as an emerging economy.
He said that the present government has already put the country on the highway towards the goal of national economical and political stability as well.
He said that the national development and progress growth rate of Pakistan was increasing day by day which was also moving ahead towards the higher growth rate in the country.
UoGNarowal campus Principal dr. MohammadYounas, Chairman Narowal District Council Ch. Ahmed Iqbal, MPAs RanaManan Khan, SardarRamaish Singh Arora andNarowal deputy Commissioner Ali Anaanqamar were also present on this occasion.
Later, taking to the newsmen here, the Interior Minister said that the whole nation stands united against terrorism and was ready to sacrifice even their lives while battling against the terrorism, militancy and insurgency shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces of Pakistan.
He added that the PML-N government was fully aware of the eternal and external dangers and was making hectic efforts to cope with them, as the government was also committed to weed out terrorism from the country in active cooperation of the masses, as the whole nation stands united against terrorism in the country.
He narrated that the armed forces of Pakistan have the full capability to uproot terrorism from the country, besides, ensuring establishment o durable peace and rule of law in the country.
He said that the present government was also strengthening the national institutions through promoting the durable democracy, as there was rule of law in the country.
He revealed that there was no place for the politics of conflict in the national political scenario, saying that all the political and religious parties must think the national defence, solemnity , political and economical stability first, instead of doing politics of conflict for their personal political gains.
