Closing flights to Moenjo Daro will create problems: PTI Sindh chief

LARKANA:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh Chief Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto said Saturday that the missing persons issue pertains to Sindh government for which police and other forces should play their role, but we will not sit comfortably on this pretext and Prime Minister will be informed about these issues including other unemployment and development issues in Sindh.

He said the Sindh government had kept the people on false promises since over 10 years instead of serving them; therefore, it was being considered to get Prime Minister Imran Khan visited every district every month for provision of education, health, infrastructure, highways and other development schemes through packages. He was while addressing a press conference at his residence, Dahesar House.

He said closing flights to Moenjo Daro would create a lot of problems for the people and we have talked to the adviser to PM Naeem-ul-Haq and federal minister for Civil Aviation Muhammad Mian Soomro for resolving the issue. He said three million rupees target was given to Moenjo Daro airport but they earned Rs 10 million monthly.

He said they would not compromise on other dams, but talks were underway about Bhasha Dam. He said no good was expected from the PPP government in Sindh. He said PPP had got so much wealth, but not the people. He said after Sukkur public meeting failure, the PPP leaders were now extremely disappointed.

Bhutto said cases of model Ayan Ali, Dr. Asim, Uzair Baloch, Iqama, money laundering etc did not surface during PTI era, but those gifts were given to the people by previous governments. He hinted at the accountability process for Rs 90 billion Larkana development package expenditure.

He said Sindh had been looted in the name of Bhutto. He said many political leaders were contacting them in Sindh before accountability process. He said: “We have an eye on parliamentary politics, adding change is eminent in future in Sindh also.” He said the opponents will have to face ruthless accountability but even before that they are weeping before us and crying that democracy is under threat.”

He declared that there would be no danger to democracy if strict actions were taken against thieves and dacoits.

Dr. Roshan Pechuho, Irshad Junejo, Hout Khan Mirali, Sher Khoso, Sikandar Kalhoro, Ibrahim Abro and others were also present on the occasion.
