Education minister visits exam centers; headmaster and two others suspended

THATTA: Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah paid a surprise visit to Matriculation examination centers in Gharo and Thatta.

During visit to the Government High School Thatta, he suspended school headmaster Noor Sirai, a clerk and an external. The action came as the headmaster was absent while a clerk was performing duty in place of external Allauddin Brohi.

Speaking on the occasion, the education minister said that efforts were afoot to improve education system and end cheating culture. He said that he was himself monitoring situation in examination centers across Sindh. Stern action will be taken against those education officers who failed to perform their duties during the ongoing examinations.

“Teachers get their issues resolved through protests but they do not fulfill their responsibilities,” he said.
