ISLAMABAD: The 7th session of the Assembly of Parties of the Laxenburg-based International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), which took place in Vienna from 27-28 September 2018, unanimously adopted the draft resolution tabled by Pakistan on ‘Strengthening the library of the IACA’.
The Pakistan resolution was co-sponsored by several IACA Parties, namely Austria, Argentina, Brazil, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nigeria, Russian Federation and Turkey, says a statement issued by the foreign office.
This initiative underscores Pakistan’s political commitment to the agenda of IACA in the core areas of anti-corruption education, scientific research into various aspects of corruption, and professional training.
Pakistan is a Party to the founding Agreement of IACA and regularly participates in the annual sessions of IACA’s Assembly of Parties.
