IOK: (Kashmir purely a political dispute, which needs to be resolved peacefully: APHC)

ISLAMABAD:All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that Kashmir is purely a political dispute, which needs to be resolved through peaceful means.

These views were expressed at a meeting of the APHC Advisory Council, chaired by its General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, in Srinagar on Friday.

The APHC strongly condemned India’s pursuit of iron fist policy of crackdowns, arrests, demolition of houses and destruction of orchards to suppress Kashmiris’ just struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, France-based Reporters Without Borders in a statement called for an immediate and unconditional release of Kashmiri journalist Aasif Sultan, held by the Indian police in violation of all criminal procedure rules.

World human rights watchdog, Amnesty International in a statement has said that many journalists in India continue to face death threats, attacks and false charges just for performing their professional duties.
