Judge’s statement criticized

KARACHI:A group of lawyers under the banner of Human Rights Committee of Pakistan (HRCP) criticized a recent statement of Justice Shaukat Siddiqui.

Mubashir Bhutta, Afzal Roshan, Bilal Akram and Asif Abro, addressing a press conference here on Tuesday in Karachi Press Club (KPC) demanded probe into reservations and allegations of Justice Shaukat Siddiqui.

They feared such statements can be harmful against the integrity of the country and its institutions. They opined that that there was no pressure on judiciary it was working freely.
