KU sign MoU with OPEN and TIS for building entrepreneurial culture at campus

Karachi:The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, University of Karachi signed Memorandum of Understanding with Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America and Transformation International Society for building entrepreneurial culture, business strategies and leadership skills at the KU Vice Chancellor Secretariat.

The MoU aimed to provide opportunities to students in the fields of skill development, start up culture, training and dissemination of knowledge on long term non-commercial basis. Under this MoU, all parties have agreed to collaborate in providing business facilitation support programs, help in building primary linkages with the commercial world, holding program by business counselors to share best practices, provide leadership and training opportunities for entrepreneurs and business owners to build skills and capacity to start and expand their businesses, provide support in transforming business ideas from bench to a marketable product and placement of members in Karachi University Business Incubation Centre Advisory Board.

The KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, President OPEN Dr Farhan Essa, Founder TIS Dr Muhammad Imran Yousuf and Director ORIC KU Professor Dr Aliya Rehman signed the MoU whereas Professor Dr Farah Iqbal would be the focal person and Dr Muhammad Asim has been appointed as the co-coordinator of the program.
