Opinion Poll: (60% Pakistanis trust the neighborhood mosque to provide accurate Iftar timings: Poll)

ISLAMABAD:According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 3 in 5 Pakistanis (60%) trust the neighborhood mosque to provide accurate Iftar timings.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “What is the most reliable source to get Iftar timings from?”

In response to this question, 60% said sound of Azan from neighborhood Mosque, 26% said siren, 10% said Azan on TV, while 4% did not know or did not wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1625 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, June 18 – June 25, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
