Opinion Poll: (61% Pakistanis say that they are satisfied with protection of minority rights in Pakistan: Poll)

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 61% Pakistanis say that they are satisfied (completely or somewhat) with the protection of minority rights in Pakistan.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “To what extent are you satisfied with the statement: The rights of minorities are protected in Pakistan?” In response to this, 32% said that they were completely satisfied, 29% said they were somewhat satisfied, while 20% said they were somewhat dissatisfied and 15% said they were completely dissatisfied. 4% did not know or did not wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1546 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, July 02 – July 09, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
