Patients Complaint Cell establish at JPMC

KARACHI:The Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) has established patients’ complaint cell in hospital to resolve patients and their attendant’s complaints about functioning of hospital..

Executive Director, JPMC, Dr Seemin Jamali, while talking to PPI, said complaints cell has been setup in institution while 16 complaints or suggestions box are also being installed in different wards including accident and emergency department.

She said patients and their attendants can lodge their complaints against doctors, paramedics, nurses and other staff if any. She informed that visitors can also give their suggestions to bring improvement in patient care. She said all the hospital related complaints will be resolved at earliest basis.

Dr Seemin further informed that aim of introducing complaint system in the health facility to improve coordination between patients and medical staff. She said anyone can lodge complaint against overall hospital functioning including behavior of staff, availability of life-saving drugs, unethical medical practice and others.
