PM statement on economic growth a bunch of lies: Wahab

KARACHI:The Sindh government’s spokesperson and advisor to CM for Law and Environment Barrister Murtaza Wahab said on Wednesday that the Prime Minister’s statements about economic growth were a bunch of lies.

Reacting to a statement of Prime Minister Imran Khan which declared the right economic direction, he said declaring the current account as surplus was incorrect while State Bank’s report was an danger to economic system of the country.

He said the whole country was sinking in tsunami inflation, but the economic growth was not in the government’s priority list. Wahab said every member of the federal cabinet had the words of political victimization, but they had no mercy for the economy and people of the country.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) vision appeared from the statements of its leadership on Twitter and his ministers were giving statements without having any economic knowledge.

He said that foodstuff was getting out of reach of people, but the rulers were in slumbering, and singing the melody of “everything is good”.
