PTI has come to power to uproot corruption: Punjab CM

LAHORE:Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said Saturday that corruption had badly damaged the roots of Pakistan.

“Corruption is a social injustice and corrupt people loot the rights of the people and do treason with the nation,” he said in his message on the International Anti-Corruption Day.

He said corruption had spread disappointment and unrest in the country. “PTI has come to power to uproot corruption. There is no place for corrupt people in New Pakistan. The zero tolerance policy for corruption has been adopted.”

He said New Pakistan, free from corruption, would be formed under the leadership of PM Imran Khan. “Every segment of society has to work for the elimination of corruption. The PTI government has resolved to end corruption in every sector.”

The chief minister said: “New Pakistan will reflect dream of Allama Iqbal and thinking of Quaid-e-Azam. The purpose of this day is to create awareness about the importance of eliminating corruption. This is the day to renew resolve to eliminate corruption from the society. We have to resolve that we will end corruption and move forward with honesty.”
