Seven street criminals among 15 apprehended

KARACHI: Karachi police on Thursday claimed to have arrested 15 criminals, including seven street criminals from different parts of the metropolis during the last 24 hours.

According to police sources, during search operations in Nazimabad, Iqbal Market, Baghdadi and Shershah area, the police arrested seven street criminals Nihal, Jahangir, Muhammad Babar, Syed Waqar Hussain, Faisal, Saeed, and Rahman. The police also claimed to have recovered three snatched motorbikes, 11 cell phones, four TT pistols, one repeater with rounds, and drugs from their possession.

Separately, police carried out operations in Ibrahim Haidry, Darakhshan and Sadder areas and detained six Gutka sellers, Asif, Zahid, Faisal, Usman, Saad Rafeeq and Abdullah. The police also recovered a huge quantity of Gutka and contrabands from their possession. Manghopir police arrested a alleged accused, Abdul Ghani, son of Meer Khan, who was involved in a murder of a man, Rozi Khan and injured a woman, Zainab Bibi on 13 February 2018.

Mouchko, police seized 1500, liters of smuggled Iranian diesel in hidden compartments of a truck with registration No. TLQ-493. The police also arrested truck driver, Rehmat Wali, son of Qandar Khan.
