Sports: Cricket: PCE thrashes SAICA by 122 runs

Karachi: Pakistan Currency Exchange (PCE) recorded a convincing 122-run victory against Saeed Ajmal International Cricket Academy (SAICA) in 23rd Dr. MA Shah Trophy here at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.

PCE batted first and put on board 227-8 in allotted 20 overs. Bismillah Khan played a whirlwind 88-run knock off only 37 balls with the help of eight boundaries and seven sixes. Ahmed Noman took three wickets for 48 runs.

In reply, SAICA was bundled out for a paltry total of 105 runs in 16.4 overs. Imran Khan brilliantly and picked for wickets for 24.

In another match of the tournament, Lahore’s Zee Estate bulldozed Zem Builders of Islamabad by 129 runs. Zee Estate batted first and scored 222 runs in 20 overs. Opener Rao Khayam hit first century of the tournament. He made 108 runs off 62 balls with the help of nine fours and eight towering sixes.

In its turn, Zem Builders scored only 93 runs in 19.2 overs before losing all of its wickets. Manzoor Khan and Ahmed Raza picked three wickets each.
