Karachi:Faculty of Pharmacy, Hamdard University, Karachi organized an event in the honor of Chancellor Hamdard University and President Hamdard Foundation Mrs. Sadia Rashid.
In her address, Mrs. Sadia Rashid shared her experiences while receiving the award of “The order of rising sun, Gold rays with neck ribbon” from the Government of Japan in Japanese consulate, Pakistan.
She recalled the values of her Late father and the founder chancellor of Hamdard University regarding the discipline and punctuality and emphasized the students to do the same in their everyday life.
On the occasion three more activities were incorporated.
Firstly, the first ever graduate directory of Faculty of Pharmacy, Hamdard University, Karachi 2018 was launched.
Secondly, an MOU was signed between Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Karachi, and Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Hamdard University, Karachi.
Prof. Dr. Iqbal Azhar, Prof. Dr. Nosheen, and Prof. Dr. Fayaz Waid from Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Karachi were present.
In his address, Prof Dr. Iqbal Azhar emphasized on the importance of research.
In the third event, different national and international pharmaceutical companies and hospital and community pharmacy representatives were present. High Q Pharma was the premium sponsor of the event.
Registrar, Hamdard University, Pervaiz Memon, Associate Dean FOP, Prof. Dr. Shamim Akhtar, student advisor, Dr. Sheikh Abdul Khaliq, and other guest speakers emphasized on the hard work and determination in their practical life.
At the final stage of the event a recruitment drive was conducted by the different national and international pharmaceutical companies.
The representative of the PharmEvo announced three gold medals for the best and outstanding graduates of faculty of Pharmacy, Hamdard University, Karachi.
