Two boats capsize, 25 fishers rescued

Thatta:Two fishing boats capsized on Monday due to high tide and strong winds along Thatta coast; however, their 25 fishing crew were rescued.

A fishing boat hit an island near Keti Bander and its 10 fishers were rescued in injured condition and shifted to hospital of Baghan village.

In another mishap, a launch belonging to Haroon Jatt capsized and its fishers including Ashraf Jatt, Abdul Sattar Jatt, Loung, Ameen, Ali Murad, Alam, Abdul Rahim, Siraj, Imran, Abdul Hameed and Anwar fell into the sea. However, they were rescued by another fishing boat.

In Thatta several trees were uprooted and roofs of hut damaged due to dust storm. Three persons including a child were injured in separate rain-related incidents.
