KARACHI: Police on Tuesday claimed to have killed two alleged kidnappers near Do Darya in Clifton.
According to SSP South Sarfaraz Nawaz, a police team on a tip-off, about kidnapping of a child, signaled to stop a car near Do Darya on which the accused opened fire on police team. The police in retaliation killed two kidnappers, Nadeem son of Aslam and Shahid son of Manzoor, while a cop, Zaheer sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The police also recovered a five-year-old abducted child, Shahzaib son of Umar Ahmed, who was kidnapped from Khayaban-e-Tariq Phase-6, today morning.
The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities.
