11 arrested, cases registered in crackdown against profiteers, hoarders, and illegal profit-takers in Quetta

Under the ongoing operation to control prices on the orders of the provincial government, authorities have arrested and transferred eleven individuals to jail on charges of alleged illegal profiteering on Joint Road.

These arrests were made by Special Magistrate Haseeb Sardar during an operation on Monday morning to curb illegal price hikes by shopkeepers.

This latest development is part of a wider campaign underway across the province to deal with individuals illegally raising prices, on the orders of the Chief Minister of Balochistan.

A spokesperson for the district administration confirmed that the implementation of the officially approved price list will be ensured without any exception. The spokesperson added that such actions will continue on a daily basis to ensure the protection of consumer rights.
